Sowing the Seeds of Art and Culture: “Semillas Latinas” Comes back with More Creativity than Ever

This month of August, Casa Maíz opens its doors and renews its energy to welcome the youngest members of our diverse community with the arts camp “Semillas Latinas”.  For three weeks, more than 15 boys and girls will have the opportunity to explore their Latin American identity through artistic disciplines like painting, theatre, dance, percussion and film-making.  Our team at Casa Maíz has worked hard to create a program that brings together professional artists from our community in order to facilitate a living arts experience for our children.  Many of our young friends return every year and also, every year new participants join the group.  All, without exception, leave the camp feeling proud and happy about their cultural identity and, at the same time, they leave excited to develop and share their talents with our Toronto multicultural society.   This summer, the Arts Camp will take place from August 8th to the 25th and the closing event will be on the 26th.  For more information, please call 647-998-4722 or email [email protected].
