This course educates and prepares students for everyday situations where they will need to adapt their English language skills to fit the multicultural Canadian Society. This course is recommended for individuals who want to improve their soft skills in social and professional environments. Upon completion of this course students will be able to identify and avoid common misunderstandings in a multicultural society and will be able to network effectively. As an example, students will master the dining etiquette for Asian, Indian, and Russian people.
This course will be offered free of charge to the community and will be taught by Surya Cortés every Tuesday from July 5th to the 26th at Casa Maíz, located at 1280 Finch Ave. West. You must register to attend. To do so, please e-mail Surya at [email protected]. Surya is a student in international business. Prior to becoming an active volunteer at Casa Maiz, Surya has worked as a language translator for a consulting firm. Surya spent 10 years traveling and networking with cultures around the globe. Surya has a passion for teaching and enjoys enabling Latin community to maximize their unlimited potential.
